Indian Summer in Berlin

Indian Summer is in full swing in Berlin. I have to take care about my new apartment and I am still waiting for my belongings.

Today I took these pictures
The street I live in

View out of my window towards the east

View towards the center of Berlin. Berlin Reichstag (German Parliament) is the dome in the center of the picture

Nice Tom and thanks for the photos. Hopefully there's an elevator and the apartment isn't a walk-up! Where do you keep the K-R?

Cheers,

Cheers,

There is an elevator and there is indoor parking in the basement. My K12R will most probably become a K13R in spring.

Did you ship the bike back or sell it here and waiting to buy a new one?

I sold it. After two years I thought it was a good idea getting a new one. And it seems to work out as I now can have the K13R.

Very nice photos Tom. Loved the line of colorful trees, line of cars, then curvy lines of leaves on the ground - sweet!! Please add more when you have a chance.

It looks..... so... urban.... Guess that means you don't have to worry about the deer in your neighborhood.

Well it is the center of the city. The district is called Mitte which literally means center. So no deers around. The only thing you need to watch for is dog poo on the walk ways.

Tom

Is it not required to pick up the "dog poo" from the sidewalk? I've always enjoyed seeing expensive women walking around with a handful of "dog poo".

BTW, that's a great view from your apartment. The penthouse, no?

Well, that's the theory. Did I mention while I was in the US that I got the impression that we have a different view to personal freedom and independence? Sometimes I have the feeling laws and legal rules are more considered to be recommendations. I have never seen a dog owner taking care of the dog poo. Although they are required to pick it up. And I do not think that a police officer would say anything (but try to find a police officer in the first place).
That's Berlin. Live and let live and don't come too close to another person you don't know.

Yes. Penthouse. I do not want anybody stomping above my ceiling.
Lesson learned from the past.

Re: Indian Summer in Berlin

Hello Tom,

Thanks for the photos and the update

I didn't think that it was possible, but the new K13R is even uglier than the K12R, but I guess that beauty is in the eye of the beholder

All the best

Jim

Jim

Probably true. I do not know how to enhance your taste.
And imagine the colored parts and some of the black ones including the rims in blue.
