Re: Which model do you currently own? Part II!

My newest is a K1300S. I love it. Powerful, not overweight, and well handling on highways and back roads. It does everything I want a bike to do for me.

But on you checklist, you forgot to list a great BMW airhead - the R65. That was my first bike (and I still have it), and it is light weight and very well handling with the shorter wheelbase than the bigger airheads of that time.

True, all true, but the sweetest R65 was the R65 Luxus Sport or LS, more grunt at 50HP than the R65 and great anchors in the twin front discs and best of all, a superbly worked out front fork that was both stable and stiction free and didn't cause tank slap like some of the airheads.

We rescued one from the corner of a shop and did it up to run like a honey.

All the best folks

So how do I check for two '07 K1200GT's? Currently defined as "double trouble."

Still have the K1300S for main duty but yesterday bought it a friend, a S1000R. Not home yet but did the deal. Sold my year old GS to a good friend. Too tall for me to enjoy in all facets. The S bike is a small package of dy-no-mite. Comes under the classification of amazing little bike.

We should probably start a new poll as this one comes from BC.

S1000XR and S1000R naked should be on the list.

Re: Which model do you currently own? Part II!

We should have this poll once each year, maybe open for one month, starting on April 1st. April 1st is a pretty good marker for the beginning of the riding season. When I first joined i-BMW most of us were riding K1200RS. We gradually shifted to the newer K1200S, then the mighty K1300S. The S-bikes came out. Some of us got older and started looking for more comfortable bikes and got newer water boxers or S-bikes. Some of us said f**k comfort and got S1000RR rocket ships.

We should repeat this poll annually so we can track how things have changed over the years. I'm thinking of two graphs, each with year on the bottom. The first would have number of responses for each bike vs. year. The second would have percentage of responses for each bike vs. year. Each bike would be a different color on the graph. How cool would that be?

High data-to-ink ratio!
