Post B'Safe Vest - the airbag for cyclists - CES 2019

Could this be used by motorcyclists? Or would it cause constriction under a moto jacket?

This one is coming out pretty soon as well:

I bet this is an excellent system but it is pretty spendy.

BMW is already incorporating it into their Streetguard jacket. And as you say, pretty damn spendy. In the UK it goes for 1,800.

Re: B'Safe Vest - the airbag for cyclists - CES 2019

Air technology for jackets and race suits has really come a long way.

Top of the line air suits like what the MotoGP and Superbike riders wear are still over $5K.

Alpinestars and Dainese race suits for the general public run around $2.5K.

They also make jackets for the street.

The deployment time algorithms are different on street jackets, suits and vest than for racing.

Street equipment deploys faster because of the greater probability of hitting something compared to a slide while on track.
