Well folks,I know this ain't no medical forum(well I guess it offers a kind of therapy, k bike addicts anonymous ! Except of course it ain't anonymous!) anyhow I digress. Just had a spinal stimulator implanted, bloody sore at the moment! Like really bloody sore! Hopefully in a couple of months I'll be back on my ride and be able to stay on for a decent ride and not be a hopeless cripple. So looking forward to THE Aussie rally!! Matt and co.,I'm so looking forward to it! All the best folks, and to the man who enabled me to at least go for a squirt briefly when I could, the most magnificent Andy aka Howkan! Life's on the up for me I reckon, and I've got the best bike I've ever ridden waiting quietly for me to heal!

Tony, hope your healing process is fast & true.

Attending the 2017 rally is a no brainer,...but I'm a little bias.

I hope the stimulator works for you and you get back on your bike in no time.

Matty I'm loving the idea of (trying) to catch up with you bunch of reprobates! Can hardly wait as matter of fact! All good so far, spoke to the clinic today and the nurse said repeatedly "no motorbikes"! Allowed to drive on Monday but have to wait till Friday for the dressings to be inspected and removed. Hoping to be allowed on 2 wheels after that! Although she did sound quite stern!

Take your time bro, the rally is 6 months away, and if you cannot ride, you can drive it and get smashed with us every night anyway, you may (when I say may I mean you will) be in charge of transporting guitars and alcohol if the bike is a no go.

Re: SCS

I've no intention of driving! Happy to chuck the grog in the bags pal but guitars travel with their owners!

Ha, got ya stirred up now. Let's go with you riding then. I have a few ideas for the guitars including sending some down to bright, or buying a Martin Backpacker guitar which are pretty small and strapping it to the rest of the gear.

Spoke to the nevro guy today ,says 3-6months before I can ride again! Bloody hell! In reality I've had a form of spinal surgery and guess I should be happy to let it do its thing but hope I can ride sooner than later! 6 months will kill me! 3 months gonna be hard enough, shaking and sweating with withdrawals already! I'm still aiming at the rally Matt!

Gota listen to the doc bro, just make sure you do all your excersices, and don't be tempted to jump on the bike too early. I reakon you book a room for the first night at Tumut regardless, it's a short ride or drive, and you get to meet everybody too. The rest can be organised later, if you did decide to come at the last minute, we will find you a bed!

Cheers
