Got a few extra bits

Hey guys,

i got a few bits on her so far.
Laminair Lip (about $120 delivered) attached to the tinted sports windscreen, i am 6 foot tall, and the air hits about halfway up my helmet now, big difference to stock windscreen alone. The picture from behind gives a better idea of the rider view.

Headlight protector, $45 (prob hard to see in these pics), cause new headlight is about $800 in Aus.

Wunderlich oil cooler cover($100) i didnt get a chance to spray it any colour, but the silver is growing on me and it sorta balances the silver on the rest of the bike

BMW Sports Bag 2...... much bigger than the pictures on the BMW accessories site suggest.
this bag is awesome, cost me $230, straps perfectly down on the small luggage rack it was designed for on my K1300r. 100% waterproof, heaps of room in it, expandable

Got the adapter for the power outlet to cigarette lighter outlet thing.
anyway, some pics below

wish list....... full lower bellypan, BMW sports panniers, large BMW sports bag, aftermarket exhaust, etc..etc..

cheers
KiwiMat

Mat:
Your bike looks really nice. I don't normally see any color but black - however your bike just jumps out at you and it looks real cool.

Re: Got a few extra bits

Very nice... love the red color scheme.

I always like the Wunderlich Xtreme Skid Plate but their site shows it only for the K12R not the K13R. Not sure it would fit but it would certainly add to the overall hooligan look of that brute.

A Remus Hexacone would look great on your bike and would sound awesome. The more I ride my 13S with the Hexacone the more I love it.

Sweet bike! I wish they'd start bringing them into the US.

Re: Got a few extra bits

G'day Mat, can highly recommend the Remus Hexacone, very nice can, I've got the Laminar Lip, sports panniers and bag as well as the BMW tank bag, top stuff. Where did you get the headlight protector from mate? Couple of mates and I are doing a ride down your way end of march, down through the middle to Port Agusta then across to Mildura, up and across to Canberra then eventually into Qld and back home doing all the good riding roads, Alpine Way, Putty etc, about 10,000kms all up, might have to try to catch up?

Hey Lou
The headlight protector came from Motohansa in Sydney and is a VENTURA product.
We are moving house at the end of March so I will be busy, but, let me know when you will be doing the putty road, and I will try and make it.
No funds for exhaust yet....

Cheers

Re: Got a few extra bits

Awesome Matt
I got the Ventura rack as I already had bags
Went on easy & you don't know its there with the suspension set on rider + luggage
Had a top ride to Phillip Island & got service on way home
Riding through some twisties I ride a lot thinking I do about 150 on the Tuono, noticed I was around 130/140, but had luggage!
Then a few corners later saw 160, so this thing still handles great!
Very confidence inspiring.

Hey Mark, I just rang the place I got mine in Sydney and they still sell them and have 2 in stock, I also asked if he will ship to NZ and he said yes, so the link is below, It's a Ventura Headlight Guard, send them an email or give them a call.

Hey Tony, no good about the back, at least you get to ride a bit. Take it easy though.
The power outlet I was talking about was just the adapter to plug into the bike to turn it into a standard cigarette lighter size, for charging phone, etc, pic below, about $25. I did end up hard wiring another cigarette lighter power outlet in case I needed to use my air compressor.

Re: Got a few extra bits

Old thread, same bike, same topic....

Scored a carbon tank protector for $50 off gumtree. Looks better in the sunlight.
Might as well mention the carbon fibre belly pan I also scored previously for $225.
And while I'm here the previously installed arrow exhaust delivered from Italy to my door in 5 days for $510 including midpipe.
Possibly an excuse to post more pics of my bike that I love.

I did consider chopping that bit off so it was the same height all the way around.

No, no, no, no!! Leave the long bit and cut off the side pieces.
