I am glad she did not get hurt. Tough break but S.I. could do another shoot with her.

Re: Danica Patrick's Last Race Crash

I know many felt like she didn't belong in the elite racing classes but she brought a lot of attention to the sport. She brought a lot of women as well - and maybe she was not good enough to win races - but she was good enough to have racing teams hire her - and she was good enough to run with the big dogs.

I'm glad she didn't get injured in the crash.

I have to think she is most likely a handful to keep up with in everyday life - but heck if I was younger and available I sure wouldn't mind getting beat up on a daily basis by her.

99,99% of all the haters couldnt take that car through the first lap without putting it in the wall. Never mind with other cars on the track.

It still takes skill and determination to reach that level she was at.

I don't really understand the haters. Aside from being a damn good looking woman, as for career highlights, she won an Indy Car race, and qualified on the pole for the Daytona 500. Sure there are others with better records, yet the majority couldn't match her success, and yes maybe being a good looking woman allowed her to land top notch rides in both series, but so what. Happy trails to her, and hopefully she'll continue to pose in bikinis.

Wow!,

Danika is hot!

That picture got nothing to do with her ability to raise a family.

She's making money of racing, advertising, modeling and she's hot (not a very good racer though). I say, she's providing for her family in the best way she can and know how.

Re: Danica Patrick's Last Race Crash

Sure she had a lot of fans, brought a lot of attention to the series she raced in and made a lot of money, but let's call it as it is. If she wasn't a female then she wouldn't of had a chance and a lot of really talented drivers (male and female) went by the wayside in the meantime.....

No hating, just facts:

Aric Almerola who took over her ride is currently 11th in his first year with the team, she was 27th her 1st full year and 28th last year:

https://www.nascar.com/standings/mon...ar-cup-series/

Her career NASCAR stats speak for themselves:

http://racing-reference.info/driver/Danica_Patrick

Her one Indy Car win was a fluke, do enough races and that might eventually happen...

Have to give her credit on knowing how to make a buck though with career earnings >$22 million!

Yep. She could run the pants off all us ole geezers. She is tough in all ways and has put up with a lot of crap because she never really proved to be a big winner.

Some interviews I liked her, most... not really.

I never understood her desire to strip down for stuff like SI photos when she was supposed to be driving race cars.

Come on... anyone can do half naked pics, but few can race both Indy and Nascar rides. So now she can concentrate on the picture end.

Thank our lucky stars nobody on this web site is confused about riding and naked pics... maybe I should not have said that!

Don't forget the temper tantrums and do you think Denny Hamlin would of allowed any other driver to grab him like this? Hell no, they'd be punched out and laying on the ground, but she knew full well he couldn't do that and she took full advantage of her gender advantage:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUA5fpDTPnY

Great driving, she tries to retaliate and instead takes herself out:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFxN8OqF5vM

Nice wreck she set off and took out a lot of good cars:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6w3qdkPPfdU

Great compilation of her fights arguments and temper:

While I agree with the sentiment, She only made it to 68 laps in a 200 lap race.

She had wins, at least one pole, etc... she was great. Just remember, of these series, there are many who never make a ripple and who don't have their name remembered. There are only a few who actually ride the top of the wave and that is even often short lived.
