Have patience... lots of it.

Good luck

well...Louis

had a few more suggestions, roses, flowergarden, nippling, sewing (hurt on the needle), crashtest dummie (not so good), Writing a book (Sharp pages..might cut myself and get bloodpoisining)…….stripping (might fall of the stage)...the list is endless……….so my youngest daughter just said:

Dad "keep on bikeriding, you have broken the most in snowmobile, skiing, climbing.enduro,mx,flyfishing(fell on slipery rock),bowhunting"

Me: I know will never stop riding the bike

I think that I've been the "chosen one" for that title...

Just was trying to get you to ease back into things...

I'm still skiing, even after my screwup but I got back in it slowly...

Can't say that it won't happen again, heaven forbid, but I ain't taking too many chances. I've even slowed down on the bike since then... a lot... It's boring as hell but it just took out too much outta me.

As I said earlier, good luck with the healing process (again)

Cheers

Baggerman,
I don’t know you. Hate to hear about your accident. I’ve broken bones before so that part I can relate. Fortunately I healed with no problems. Hopefully you will get through this and get back to living life again. After reading this thread I feel your story regarding your countries healthcare system should be mandatory reading for anyone who thinks a govt run single payer system is a good idea! Heal up! Life is waiting for you!

well, sweden is on the downhill...the system over here will get worse, sweden is fucked. Sorry to say it but im already out from the system again as from the 4th of august, no income other than saved cash.......know that many believe sweden to be land of dreams but that is far from true. We are censored, not allowed to speak our mind, madness on the leftwing people threatening all who tries to say something. The outside world hears all lies and not the truth.

I know what you mean. When I got back on skis, I was going too slow. Enough that I was destabilized by the slow momentum and taking falls that I never have...

So I returned to a faster pace and balance came back with it.

Good luck with the rehab.

gravelroad for some kilometers and the last 8 meters Before the asphalt my frontwheel sank down, whobble on the bike and down with my right leg (yeh….the one) twisted the knee to much outwords and now 12 cracks in the upper lower leg.

what can i say, season over and crutches again for at least 2 months, painkillers again

a volcano feels like a good comparison to my mood at the moment.
Sorry to hear you hurt yourself again. Reading back through this thread it seems like just 5 months ago you were still in pretty bad shape. If you're going to bike, maybe you should be dialing it back a little...like staying on paved roads. Christ, be careful man.

Re: Current status

Yeah, I know. Trying to dial back the level of a sport you're good is tough. But hell, at my age it would worse to have to go through a long recovery. I just can't stand the thought of having to be laid up and missing a whole season of skiing or biking. I feel for you guys and your recent serious injuries and long recoveries. Take it slow and be fucking careful. Nippling sounds good.

Hang in there mate - I'm literally in your shoes, recovering from similar injuries...
I was lucky that there was no infection although I had open fibula fracture.

Are you enjoying painkillers at least (on brighter note)? ;-)
