Re: Stalling

There's no fix from BMW for the stalling issue.
I had a 2007 K12S, never stalled in 27,000 miles.
Traded it in for a 2016 K13S Motorsport, after 12,000 miles it started stalling like a ************************************************************ ************. Bike definitely runs lean, had the bike at BMW of Manhattan for 5+ weeks and nothing was fixed. You got two options to fix it, buy a Booster Plug for $159 USD or Accelerator Module for $50. Did alot of reading on both, they work the same.
They fool the computer to think it's 20 degrees cooler outside and makes the bike run richer. Stalling issue solved.
BMW dealers, FUCK EM... useless and overpriced

Re: Stalling

Option 3 is to flash your ECM, assuming the cheaper solutions did not work.

Re: Stalling

Air, fuel, or spark. There has to be some way of narrowing the choice. Will the 911 work as a data recorder?

Re: Stalling

"after 12,000 miles it started stalling"...have you tried pouring in Techron Fuel System Cleaner treatment for a few tankfuls?

Secondly, if it was my K1300S I'd change both Air Filters as well - mine had SO MUCH CRAP loaded up in them after only 11,545 miles.

There are a couple of aftermarket businesses that flash in a new fuel curve.

If you want to hound your dealer, get him to replace the idle control valve, they are infamous for sticking.

Re: Stalling

My k1300s was intermittently/randomly stalling when coming to a standstill, after trying many different options I replaced all 4 ignition sticks which finally resolved the problem.
