Re: Moto Guzzi's New Adventure Bike

I actually like it, yet I need a very strong argument to move away from liking the proven model in the class. Despite my complaints about the finish quality of my GSA, it’s still the leader of the pack.

Re: Moto Guzzi's New Adventure Bike

Cant say much about the paint choices but looks OK, but, really heavy "looking" around the motor. Good move on high fender and 90- hp is plenty for all but warp speed pavement.

I like the looks of it but clearly with that front wheel it has no off road pretensions.

Re: Moto Guzzi's New Adventure Bike

I actually like the looks of the bike.

But when I started to Google the MG V85 my exitement collapsed.

MG call it a Concept Bike.
Concept Bike? Give me strenght!!
When a manufacturer shows a concept bike, I expect some new tchnology and perhaps a bit futuristic looks, and based on the concept bike I would expect the factory to perhaps make a more modest bike that they will sell to the public.

The V85 is a mix of technology used by others for at least the last ten years. Oh, I forgot, a brand new engine, a 850 with a wopping 80Hp, up from 55 in their previous 850. Well, I guess if you want to race a fly with a limp you got a winner

The published information is all about style and herritage. Nothing about engine performance, expected weight, electronics and standard and optional Equipment.

It was launched in -17 and expected delivery -19, and they use the time to fill potential customers with hot air and mumbo-jumbo.

I like MGs style with the V-twin and the standard Italian ability to choose pretty design and color combination.
The day that MG finds out that they sell motorcycles, not paintings, perhaps they will start making money again.
This one, sad to say, even if I like the looks, bears all the signs of another looser. (but a pretty looser )

Re: Moto Guzzi's New Adventure Bike

I think it's a damn good looking bike... Yes.. the paint scheme looks like somebody pipe-bombed a Sherwin Williams store, but otherwise... Kudos to Moto Guzzi for the effort.

It does look heavy and with the shaft drive.. Probably is.
