Seems no one has noticed...

I assume that the relatively few new threads on this list mean that either (1) everyone has put away their bikes for the winter, or (2) their bikes are running well and we're out on the road enjoying them as Dog and BMW meant to happen.

So then.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good ride!

I think it's a little of both... we're having some sub-freezing temperatures in Southern California!!
Merry Christmas!!

Yep. -17F this morning and 32 in the garage.
If we get a nice day later there's too much salt on the road.
Anymore the DOT gets carried away with salt, brine and sand when there's the slightest chance of snow or ice.

Re: Seems no one has noticed...

Too cold to ride lately - too much salt, sand and snow. Garage is like a freezer can't even go out there and mess around with the bikes.

Re: Seems no one has noticed...

Had my gear ready last night to ride to work this morning. Morning news said it was 24, so I took the truck.

Re: Seems no one has noticed...

I look at the weather every morning and if it's going to be near 50 in the afternoon I dream of riding to work.......then I realize the ride in would be brutal since it's mid 20's at 6am. Come on spring!

Re: Seems no one has noticed...

I hear y'all about chilly weather, my daughter lives somewhere near Lodi, CA and works in Stockton.

And though I got my K13GT several months ago in drizzly Portland, and took my first voyage two-up with my wife/enabler to (then) hot and sunny San Diego, it all comes down to the old saying we have here: "Lucky you live Hawaii".

Charlie,

I think that's karma after Craig and yourself were rubbing it in last week. Nonetheless you'll be back to beautiful weather about 5 months ahead of me.
