K1300S on current BMW Motorrad mobile website

How pleasant to see that a discontinued model is currently (Jan 2018) on the BMW Motorrad mobile website.

Re: K1300S on current BMW Motorrad mobile website

I think the correct penalty for this infraction should be to renew production of the K1300S with all the electronic upgrades of current BMW models to include cruise control and switchable rider modes. If not, then this is false adverstising!

Thanks, the value of my 2016 Motorsport just tanked. But I agree. The cruise on my 2003 K keeps my speed in check very difficult with the 1300S on highways. I have to constantly evaluate my speed on the 1300S.

Re: K1300S on current BMW Motorrad mobile website

My guess is that an advertising guy said a lot of money could be saved by using a file photo. The expense to assemble all those different cycles, block a road, and get the photo from a lead vehicle is significant.

But I'm sure doing all that for a new photo would cost much less than the R&D for a new KS. They posted it so they MUST now make it true! I demand it!

Re: K1300S on current BMW Motorrad mobile website

Bad news, Bucky.

BMW has removed all information about the K1300 from the www.bmw-motorrad.com website. I tried to see if updated information on recommended tires since 2015 and seat information was available When you select the K1300S (USA), it indicates that you have selected an outdated link.

I am hoping replacement parts will not be handled in a similar manner.

Doubtful your demands will be complied with.

Just sayin BMW has decided they are done with us. It would have cost them little to just leave the last published data online at the website listed in your owner manual.

As long as I can find the right person here, I can get any information I need. This site is that good.

Re: K1300S on current BMW Motorrad mobile website

What bike is supposed to take the k1300 place in their line up?
S1000r and s1000xr?

For me the s1000r is to much sport for a touringbike, the xr is to much of a GS and at the same time a look that tries to be all models in one. The f800gt, well its a 800, i have a 1300 because i want the power.....
As it looks for me bmw doesent have anything to offer if i ever wanted to trade up. There seem to be no real sportstourer any more.

The K1600B or the K1600GT. At least Progressive Insurance will no longer deserve to get the sport bike additional premium.

K1600b.....is that a HD replica ?
The Gt is more a luxuary couch than a sportstourer.

Those are your BMW K-bike choices if you don't want a pure sport cycle as the S1000R/RR or an "R" cycle.
