Eric, Bill and Bert,

Unfortunately, vBulletin doesn't allow you to go back and make changes, however, I made the changes for you!

Terry,

It would be nice to allow constant updates, but the software isn't that sophisticated.....yet!

Re: Which model do you currently own? Part II!

Hi all. I just found this site and added my rides. I have a 1990 K100RS and a 1981 Yamaha SR500. I purchased both of them new. Yeah, there's a lot of newer bikes out there, but I've enjoyed these two, and they have never given me a reason to consider trading for something newer.

Welcome to i-bmw Dale!

If you hang around here long enough, we might persuade you to add another bike to the stable. No trade in necessary.

Ha Ha! Yeah, that's what my wife's worried about. I've been lurking here for the past couple days, and it looks like a pretty good site. I'm kinda surprised from the poll response that there's not that many K100 owners . . . I guess most guys have moved up to newer iron.

Hi there!

I own two K1200LT:s and one K1200S, but couldn't poll for second LT.
It's not fair, while LT is a really grown up MC, besides Goldwing!

Re: Which model do you currently own? Part II!

My primary ride (of course) is my 1998 K1200RS with the Checker cab paint scheme.
There's a 1984 Honda Nighthawk'S' for light weight sport touring.
I have a 1981 Dnepr (with sidecar). As long as you understand that it is a P.O.S. motorcycle it's a hoot to run around town.
There's a 1974 Norton Commando 850 Roadster on the restoration table right now.
My 1972 Triumph Bonneville always starts on the first or second kick, even after sitting all winter.
Finally, I have a 1972 Yamaha RT2 for gravel roads and greenlanes.

Time to change the bikes again? You can strike my K1200RS and add one K1200S. There must be some other guys who want to change their bikes too...

Oh hell, I must have done something wrong as I didn't get to click the choices for this survey. Anyway, I'm trying to wear out a '01 K1200RS - Mandarin Checker.

I'm jones'n big time for another ride, maybe the new K12GT, a K12S or even a R12GS, but I retired a little over a year ago and as the saying goes...

"I'm on a fixed income... and it ain't fixed very well...!"

Talking Re: Which model do you currently own? Part II!

Hi, All. 1st (cherry) posting. I had a '60's BMW 600 (forget the number) with a Steib "bullet" side hack, but it's long gone, ditto a 1980 80GS. Now I have an '02 K1200RS - black and pretty much stock. It's in FLA on a trickle charger - I get to ride it every 3-4 months (bummer), but it has a garage "companion" - '02 Triumph Speed Triple - also sucking off a trickle charger. I live in Europe for the time being, so I have a Ducati Monster 900 (2000) to ride. It's bike heaven here, except for the Euro against the dollar.

Re: Which model do you currently own? Part II!

Sorry, but I have not kept up with this thread as closely as I should have and it has been a while since I have made manual changes for people.

As per my post way back when, we have software limitations that don't allow you to vote again to change models or to cast more than one vote for each category that applies, so, if you have two of the same model, either post up OR PM me (for faster service) and I will manually add/subtract/change your previous vote.

I have changed all that have posted in THIS thread and any that have PM'd me up until today! There has been a LOT of trading-in going on!

I have also made changes for those that I know (and remember) have made changes (listed in alphabetical order).....Doug, Eric, John P, Nash, Paul, Ray, Rob, Steve.

If this is up to date...it's interesting to see that the K/S has nearly caught the K/RS.

Re: Which model do you currently own? Part II!

Doug,

I don't want to start adding dirt bikes too, so, I upped the "other" count by 1 for your Husky and upped the Duc count for your tri-colore! I think I am about through adding categories.....

Yes, the count is now as up-to-date as I have based on posts, PMs, emails and general knowledge of those I listed. The gap has grown substantially when you look at the KRS/KGT vs. the KS/KR/KR Sport/KGT(NG) now, WAY lopsided toward the newer bikes. Funny, but the KRS camp is trading in proportionally higher than the older KGT camp (or, they are at least telling me about it).

My Models

Along with the K1200R Sport I rock... I'm also the proud papa of a new (7 miles on the odo.) Benelli Cafe Racer. 1130CC triple and some other fun Italian nonsense should make for a bit of a departure from the K-Bike riding style...

Well, if this poll is of any indication, I'm starting to understand why K12R Sport was discontinued after one year and K13R is not imported into the US.

Martin_D, I hate you! Stop posting pictures of your bike!

Martin,

Sorry it took so long for me to notice this. I have now changed it and have added in the votes for the handful that I know about personally (including yours). I also have deducted the corresponding models that they replaced!

Anybody else that has added and/or deleted ANY bike since their vote (the system won't let you re-vote) just let me know either via a post here or PM!

The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money. - Margaret Thatcher

You only need two tools in life -WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the Duct Tape

IF you can't fix it with a hammer, then you have an electrical problem!
