Pre tyre poll survey

Hey guys, I noticed some of the older tyre polls don't have up to date tyre models, and I think it is about time to start putting together another comprehensive tyre poll for our K1300R/S Sports/touring bikes.
The main idea of this thread is to get you lot to give me the tyre make and model that I forgot on my list, and from this thread I can generate an accurate Tyre Poll thread for now, otherwise I will be forever adding tyres to the poll list, and if they are not there from the start it won't be as accurate. I realize there are lots of tyres not on my list so far.
Even though I ride a K1300R, there are 10x more K1300S bikes out there, so it makes more sense to put the new tyre poll thread in K1300S tyres forum area, even though we could generalize and call it a sports/touring tyre thread, some lean towards the sports riding and others towards the touring, some commute and some do all, so you can discuss that in the new thread.
THIS IS NOT A TYRE DISCUSSION THREAD, it's just a list of tyres, we can do that in the thread we make from the list we generate here.
Hope all this makes sense.

So give me the make and model of a tyre you have used or recommend for a K1300R/S if it's not on my list already.
I will keep adding them to this list as you guys post them.

Cheers and thanks in advance

Re: Pre tyre poll survey

Michelin makes a 3 or 4 versions of the Pilot Power on your list. Unless I'm horribly mistaken they sell the standard Pilot Power, the Power 2CT, the Power 3, and the Power SuperSport.

My favorite tire for the K1300S/K1200S is the Michelin Pilot Power 3!

Re: Pre tyre poll survey

Hi Mat

All brands or models are not available here, but I think these tyres are good enough for our bikes, logically depending on the each riding style.

Adding your list:

Michelin Pilot road 2 ( still on market)
Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT

Continental Conti Sport Attack 3
Continental Road Attack 2 EVO

Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact .(in your list Is Z8)
Metzeler Z8 Racetec RR
Metzeler Sportec M7 RR
Metzeler Racetec Interact K3

Hi Phil
One of the good things for us, no US guys in this forum is to learn english as much as possible.

I've learned from you guys this: Tire=1, Tyres, more than 1. and I use it

But... taking account this is an worldwide forum I think is possible to communicate between us without strict protocols.. If not as example all of members must to talk in pure english, and really I don't know which that in these days.
Te most important thing is you can understand the similarities and differences between tire and tyres.

As you like Phil

Yes, I misspelled , I have incorrect english but fortunately nobody takes care of my mistakes, and this make me feel so good

btw... Sorry mat, by far out of topic

One could transport tyres by placing them under the bonnet.

Only tyres I used on the 13R were the OEM Metzlers which I didn't like then Dunlop Roadsmart IIs which I loved.

Re: Pre tyre poll survey

While I have no real comparisons to other tires or brands my personal experience over the last 6-7 years and 3 bikes are the Pilot Road series. Michelin PR2, PR3, or currently PR4. I find them to be well suited to my style of riding which I would call mildly aggressive bordering on just plain mild.
They seem to grip well, corner easily, and are definitely long lasting. Additionally my local dealer recommends them. Hope that helps?
My $.02

FWIW, I respect the language, verbiage, and spelling of everyone on this forum. I was born and raised in NYC during the 50's and 60's (pre gentrification era) and believe me we had a language that was quite unique!

I've done a few thousand k's on the Dunlop Roadsmarts and they are as good as any TYRE I've worn out.
