SPOILER - Motegi Japan MotoGP

Lorenzo won't be racing, looks like his wrist is messed up beyond his earlier hopes. FP 1 & 2 are in the books, 1 was dry, 2 was wet and drying with the faster guys in FP 2 risking slicks at the end of the session. Hopefully the race will be dry. A bit of a surprise at the top of the chart of FP 2.

Re: SPOILER - Motegi Japan MotoGP

Well Done! Solid riding. Best rider on probably the second best bike! That is what is most impressive to me this year.
You get the feeling though that Marquez wasn't really challenged.
Dovi just doesn't feel like championship material. Fast as hell and puts in solid results, but maybe lacking that last little bit of alien.

Lorenzo on a Ducati next year would have been interesting! Oh well...

Yamaha hopefully will look forward to a more restricted ecu next year to maybe level the playing field back towards them.
I wonder if they financially were just not in a right place this year to spend for development. What other reason could there be?

What an absolute joke if Rossi ends up finishing second in the championship.

But congrats to MM for number 7!!!! At 25yo. WOW!

Re: SPOILER - Motegi Japan MotoGP

So funny.

If you watched the celebrations at the end, Redding comes up and congratulates Marquez, then Marquez lays flat on the floor for about 20 seconds with people fussing around him before he got up and continued his celebration. I didn't really get what that was about, but it turns out Redding's slap on Marquez's back was so hard it dislocated his shoulder and he laid dowm so they could put it back in

Re: SPOILER - Motegi Japan MotoGP

Did anyone notice that the winner of the Moto2 race, Fabio Quartararo was disqualified because, get this, for, "...having a rear tyre pressure 'lower than the parameters advised by the Official Supplier' during post-race checks.

His tire pressure was 0.02 too low.

That would really suck.

I can't find any news that says how much the tires were under inflated but that's probably 0.02 millibars right? If so, that's 0.00029 psi. How's that even possible to measure?

On the flip side, you know that's something you could be DQ'd for, then why would flirt with that limit?

The point .02 was a quote from the rider. I expect that the rider wasn't the one who inflated the tires and yes rules is rules but still, under inflated tires? Maybe Tom Brady was involved.
