So, to define "cheesy" I would say any movie with poor production values, ridiculous story/plot, terrible acting, B movie, cult, low-budget or all the above but nothing so bad that you won't watch it if it comes on TV or you're bored on a Friday night.

Here are a few of my favorites:
  • Tremors
  • Red Dawn
  • Vanishing Point
Ah, Vanishing Point - loved that one.

Let's see, the first one I thought of was actually the first Star Wars movie, but maybe it's not cheesy enough.

How about Bloodsport?

Re: What's Your Favorite Cheesy Movie?

Anyone see "Looker"?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082677/

I didn't realize it was Michael Crichton until I looked it up. It was pretty prophetic for 1981.

Also, the first ever film to create 3D shading with a computer that produced the first ever CGI human character was the model Cindy (Susan Dey).

Ahh yess,,, Night of the Living Dead, I was 15 when I watched it. At the point where the ghoul is getting ready to eat the guy in crashed truck, I reached under the seat in front of me and grabbed the young girl sitting in front of me by the ankles, while shaking her legs and screaming "ARRRRGGGHHH". I held her in place until she got one leg free and was kicking the shit out of me and ran outside. They stopped the movie. Everyone but my friend and I were screaming, we were laffing. For some reason they thought we had something to do with the disturbance. I always wondered if they ever found that girl.

Thanks dude, you're right. I just watched the "Cheese" and forgot the title in a matter of minutes... or was it days...

I hope I'm in the right house today. "Oldness" is a bitch! Maybe I can out-run-it on the Mighty K1300S.

HANZO the Razor, fights with more than a sword! Not so cheesy for me, more like a hero I can look to for hope.

Just thought of "Two Lane Blacktop" with James Taylor - yes the musician- another '71 car flick with a '55 Chevrolet on a street drag racing run through the southwest

Monty Python and the Holy Grail cheesy? I fart in your general direction! One of the best movies ever. I'm taking my daughter to a screening of it with John Cleese in Richmond in November.

Now if you want a cheesy movie find "Horror at Party Beach".

My wife's favourite movie of all time, followed by Dirty Dancing and Point Break. I think all can be classes as 'cheesy'.

Re: What's Your Favorite Cheesy Movie?

Anybody here who rides bicycles, has to have seen American Flyers. A young Kevin Costner and a dorky David Grant had some decent bicycle scenes. Rae Dawn Chong? I don't even know why she was in the movie, but her bit part fit right in with the rest of the acting (or lack thereof).

Thanks for the better picture, Lee. I knew we could count on you.

Re: What's Your Favorite Cheesy Movie?

THX 1138 is a great cheesy movie, McFly. They even ride futuristic motorcycles in part of it. I think they were built up TA-250's and they shot some of the scenes in LA's 2nd Street Tunnel.

What about Dogma? Weird and irreverent, but funny at times.

Just wish the picture of the jugs was a little clearer and of higher resolution.

I found it mesmerizing and worthy of repeated viewings. Some great songs, as well.

I'm officially adding Twister to my fav cheesy movie lineup! Some of the corniest dialogue ever, not to mention the acting.

Almost as stupid as The Day After Tomorrow, which is saying something!

Re: What's Your Favorite Cheesy Movie?

Don't forget the entire "Sharknado" series. OK - here is my real favorite, and it's currently available on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/browse?jbv=70170065&jbp=7&jbr=1. Everybody else: http://www.magnetreleasing.com/trollhunter/

ABOUT THE FILM
The government says there’s nothing to worry about – it’s just a problem with bears making trouble in the mountains and forests of Norway. But local hunters don’t believe it – and neither do a trio of college students who want to find out the truth. Armed with a video camera, they trail a mysterious “poacher,” who wants nothing to do with them. However, their persistence lands them straight in the path of the objects of his pursuits: trolls. They soon find themselves documenting every move of this grizzled, unlikely hero – the trollhunter – risking their lives to uncover the secrets of creatures only thought to exist in fairy tales.
