Hard Case liners ?

Just picked up an '09 1300S, and have a question about the hard case liners, what are the two snaps halfway down the liner bag for? Thx

Stu:

They are there to snap in place inside the cases to keep them in place. I never use them.

Thanks, I didn't notice any snaps in the cases, I'll have to look again!

Re: Hard Case liners ?

Welcome to the forum Stu. Never used those snaps either, in fact I find the my hard cases to be very water tight without the liners.

You should post an introduction in the Introduce Yourself forum with a shot of your bike.

Re: Hard Case liners ?

Had another look, the only snaps are the ones for the lid cords, oh well doesn't sound like I need them. Thanks.

The snaps are under the tabs that lock the expandable part of the bag to the hard case.

Re: Hard Case liners ?

Thanks Bruce, don't know if I'd ever have found them, seems logical now that I found them and see how the liners fit.

Ours are watertight as a screen door, so we always use the bag liner or plastic bag.
Not a big deal as long as we use a waterproof liner.
