With the new GT in October. At the peak of Mt. Mitchell. I'm on the left.

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

Bob,

Thanks for following thru on this thread with the pic of your bike (identical to my own K16). Well, in just these last two pictures - the one from Blake, now your excellent one (seems to show your passion for the bike), we've gone from last year to this "new" year.

Continued fun with your bike into this new year!

Miles

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

That 1600GT really looks like a very cool machine. Seems big compared to the 1200 and the GTL looks huge but that GT is something that I imagine to be a very nice replacement for a 1200GT. I guess the handling is similar or superior to the 1200. I really like the power that it has when one needs it. And sometimes when one does not "need" it.

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

Me and the K at Deals Gap just last week. I put about 1,500 miles on it on nothing but curvy twitsty roads and I couldn't be happier with the bike. Handles like a dream and is a total rocket ship!

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

Hey Steve in the UK and Tom riding "Deals Gap" on your GT - thanks a zillion for keeping this GT picture thread going. It's one of the longest here and one of my all-time favorites.

Nothing like seeing these color pictures of the GT riders and their steeds (and friends, too).

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

I've had my GT for about a year and a half now, have hunderds of photos of the bike posing by itself, but finally someone took a picture of me and the bike last Sunday!

and naturally, I had my eyes closed for it!

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

Fred,

What a great photo and a beautiful backdrop taken from what looks like a wooden bridge over a picturesque stream and woods!

The bike itself looks like it just came off the showroom floor - you must have spent quite a bit of time detailing the bike before the picture was taken.

As far as the sun in your eyes - well Clint Eastwood is referred to as "Squint" for having the same "look" in some of his movies!

Thanks for posting the nice photo...

Miles

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

Thanks Miles. The "stream" is actually the Delaware and the bridge goes from NY to PA. It is somewhat controversial, because they want to build a replacement for around $10 to $12 million, and all it serves is a small community of about 15 people.

And to be honest the bike hasn't been cleaned in a while, but I try to keep it looking good, and I just got a new tire on the back so the rear wheel got cleaned when that happened

Re: How about a picture of YOU with your GT?

Usually i take the photos, but this one is coming to Avila (Spain) with my wife and a dirty k1200gt, sorry The rear topcase is a big Givi used for long travels with my wife.

Here the difference with some k1200lt :-)

Avila is a very nice city. Awesome medieval city that watched our fight with the numerous ancient arab troops and with great walls.
If you visit this city you eat very well: Ask for the "Mesones" :-)
