Check code, yellow triangle

This may be a completely stupid question but hear goes.
I just noticed im getting a soft check code, with the yellow triangle, in other words the triangle and check light only comes on for a very brief second, Then disappears, its not a LAMPF code for that does not come on. I don't have a GS911 as of yet, anybody have a clue what all the soft warnings are. Bikes only got 10,000 so its not a service code, unless there's a time versus a mileage, I had the service code cleared at 6,500 in April. I know ill need to just bite the bullet and order the GS911, but was hoping to ask santa for it
The bike runs like a top, so im thinking its just some sort of reminder of some sort

Re: Check code, yellow triangle

My k12r does the same. I thinks itís because the controllers are active but things like oil pressure hasnít built up. The computer thinks thereís a fault. When systems become normal the triangle goes out after a second or so. Is this whatís happening?

Re: Check code, yellow triangle

Mine will go out before i actually start it tho. Turn key goes through its self check all good, then yellow triangle, then CHECK! Comes on for a second then goes out. Then i fire it up and all good does the same thing when its time for a service, kinda why im thinking its a service or some kinda reminder. I know i just need to get the gs911 and clear it out, but was just curious if someone had a clue as too what the soft checks wear? Now if the light stayed on, then I'd be a little more concerned.

Re: Check code, yellow triangle

I never noticed it but my 1300S does exactly the same. I guess Capt Howdy's explanation is right.
So nothing to worry about or to clear in the fault memory.

Re: Check code, yellow triangle

My 08 K1200S, 08 K1200GT and 2014 K1600GT all did the same think but what bothered me the most when I first got the S was the brake failure light dealer told me about it when I bought the first bike. Still bothers me but so do a lot of things, that is why I ride as much as possible!
