ESA Calibration Error GS911 help

The rear calibrated fine, the front throws this error: Negative response from controller conditions not correct of incorrect sequence of commands?
Any ideas? front sensor positions read 0 on both that means its bad?

Thanks

Re: ESA Calibration Error GS911 help

Have a look at the cable, where it goes into the shock strut.

On my bike, the black heat shrink has become hard and started cutting into the cable.

This may be your problem, depending on fault code.

No fault codes are found though

Re: ESA Calibration Error GS911 help

If you go to the GS911 website, read the frequently asked questions, you will find that "sometimes" the GS911 has problems communicating with the ESA system.

May well be, no problem.

Re: ESA Calibration Error GS911 help

yes, i agree with paulmogs.

I don't have a GS911.
I use the BMW software INPA to run the calibration.
After I run the calibration, it says "ESA Calibration successful", but when I go
out and back into the same menu it says "ESA not calibrated".....

Like paulmogs said, it could be just a glitch.

Re: ESA Calibration Error GS911 help

Pretty sure there is no calibration....remember this is effectively spring preload not damping so nothing to calibrate on the front.... I get the same messsges, rear you can do (and hear the stepper motor) but no connection on front.

I used to see the same thing on the front shock of our K1300Ss.

Re: ESA Calibration Error GS911 help

Thanks, sounds like it's normal and nothing to calibrate then.
