Ask this vendor if he will cut what you need in red.

I have their film on the inner half of our bags.
Instead of buying two kits I asked them if I could buy a kit that only had the inner half pieces for both bikes.
They did, and only charged for one kit.

That's what we did and it still gives you plenty of reflective surface area.

Here's a flash picture. We have the black film that reflects white when light hits it.

Not exactly. I have the Scotchlite black that is almost invisible on the black parts of the bike, but shines bright white at night.

Many years ago I bought 12x12 inch sheets of "Scotchlite Plus 680 Reflective Sheeting with Controltac Adhesive" from a seller on eBay.

A single 12x12 inch sheet made:
* Two reflectors that covered the black rear parts of my side cases, shaped to fit.
* A small piece that fits the trapezoid-shaped pop-out opener for my 49 liter top case.
* Another small piece that fit the small black rectangular section just above the trapezoid.
* Two ~1.5 x 8 reflector strips that ran along the sides of the 49 liter top case just below the lid.

My wife is very good with crafts and scissors. She helped me lay it out and cut it out for me. There was very little wastage.

I have looked on eBay and elsewhere for more of those 12x12 sheets, but have not seen them.

I am very impressed with the Scotchlite reflective sheets/tape. They are very unobtrusive in the daylight - you hardly know that they are there, yet they are very bright when headlights shine on them. They are the first thing you see at night, even before the taillight.

The adhesive is very very good. It does not peel up or curl at the edges. As I said, you can hardly tell that it is there.

Over a span of many years, the reflectivity of Scotchlight does decline, but it takes a very long time and a lot of sun baking for that to happen. Nothing lasts forever.

Thanks Lee, That is still a pretty good size area, I did find some blue checkerboard tape that would look good with my blue GT, down side is that is only two squares wide so it will take a lot of time to get it on to where it looks good??

Sounds like your wife is a keeper if she does things for your bike.

I have found some sheets like that in 11x7 up to 15x36.

Yeah, she is a keeper for sure. She does not enjoy riding the bike any more. We used to ride everywhere when we were young.

Did you find 12x12? - I have looked for them to suggest to others, but never found them again.

Where did you find 15x36?

A rotary cutter works good for jobs like this. I used Debbie's when I cut some clear 3M film for our bags.

You can probably find one at Walmart.

No 12x12 but a lot so 7x11 and then rolls of varying widths from 1 to 10 meters

That is a great idea, I am playing with the blue/white checkerboard but at it is only in tape I would have to lay it out and use masking tape to put the strips together then cut it out then try to peel all backing off the strips and then apply it. just not sure if that is worth it.
