Greeting from South Africa

Hi,

Paddy from Springs in South Africa. I have been a non- active member since 2014, and now require some advise. My bike has recently shown signs of a collapsing final drive!!! large amount of lateral movement on the rear wheel. I am battling to find a replacement (not toooo pricy as I am a pensioner)
is it necessary/advisable to replace the entire drive, or have the bearing replaced.

Paddy:

Welcome to the site. Yes we need what model bike - and then you should post your question in the appropriate technical forum for that model - this forum has limited viewing.

Welcome to the site Paddy, I expect you'll get some sound advice once we're able to narrow the field of bikes you're dealing with.

Just in hibernation - we are experiencing cold front, temperatures are around 5C.
For us here, that's polar climate :-)

After many years of riding around in those temps, I finally heard about Gerbings heated jackets and gloves. Now it's just like riding in summer.
