Post Tip for removing the windscreen, K12RS/GT



Trick to removing the "pins" for the windscreen.

These are sometimes difficult to remove.

Use a 5mm socket to compress the tip and push out the plug.

You can attach the socket to an Allen wrench if more reach is needed.

Mine disintegrated years ago, replaced them with plastic trim fasteners secured with a zip tie through the middle.

Once you push out the center plastic pin, you should be able to remove those plastic 'rivets' with your fingers
