Agreed - I think these look *excellent* but then again, I tend to prefer the looks of Arrow pipes when they're available.

Will you be fitting to a K1300R or K1300S? Would love to know of compatibility with the S should that be what you're fitting it to.

Greyfox, did you end up buying and installing the Arrow exhaust for your K1300s? Did it fit with the mid-pipe they supplied without modifications? How do you like it? Pics please!

Re: Arrow exhaust in oz

Is that a full system, slip on with mid pipe or just a slip on mate? I've had a Remus Hexacone slip on on mine since just after her first service and happy with the performance but would really like a better note, with the DB killer in she's still a bit on the quiet side, with it out she's just obnoxiously loud, love to hear how your's sounds!

Re: Arrow exhaust in oz

Hey greyfox

I was considering getting an Arrow but I heard one recently and it didn't sound much different from standard to me. That was with the baffle out too. It was only a short listen, but I was expecting it to sound very obviously different.

How would you describe the sound compared to standard?

I've been looking at all the different options (Remus, Laser, Leo Vince etc), but haven't found one that ticks all the boxes.

With the baffle in it sounds like a standard can, with it out it is what i call sweet but not intrusive

Re: Arrow exhaust in oz

Hi Greyfox,

The last post on this topic was a few years ago, but I've been looking at the Arrow slip on with carbon end cap for my recently acquired K1300R.

Just wondering if you still have the same bike with the same can, and what your thoughts on it are a few years down the track.

My local dealer in Wangaratta quoted me $799 for the slip on (not sure if that includes the mid pipe) which I thought sounded good.

Another question, do you need to install the catalytic converter with the slip on?

Hey John, assume ya looking at something like this?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BMW-K-130...YAAOSwmmxW2A~Q

Don't overthink it mate. My K12 has a cat still in the system, seen many bikes get past me?

The advantage of the "cat" is, when you get up it for the rent, fumes that come out of said slip on, smell pretty awful. Sucks too be behind.

Go on, do it, beat Mat too the draw. Arrow is goodness.

Re: Arrow exhaust in oz

That's the one Moggsy. Looks good I reckon. eBay price with delivery is about $730 or so. For an extra $70 I can get it from my local dealer which gives me peace of mind.

And no, haven't seen too many cats pass you mate. Venture to say, none at all. YSWIDT with the cats thing

If that includes the mid pipe, then I can see where your coming from to get it local for a few bucks more. I have had my eye on an arrow for ages, the full system, delivered from Italy is $1462. I was considering just doing the can like you, wasn't sure what colour to go with yet, but I'm betting the titanium will look shit-hot!!

Cheers

Hi Matt

The aluminium dark looks good too. Will have to check to see if $799 includes the mid pipe

Re: Arrow exhaust in oz

Just a thought John, i wonder if buying direct (not eBay) from Italy, or somewhere else in Europe means you could avoid the 20% VAT and get a better price. I might do some research on that.

Re: Arrow exhaust in oz

So these guys seem like they have the best prices.
Titanium and midpipe delivered is $715.
Minus VAT should be $572. I will send them an email to confirm I havnt got to excited and fkt up the maths or read it wrong.

EDIT: email sent.

So my maths was wrong, these guys is $715 delivered with midpipe, only a bit cheaper than the million results on eBay for (K1300r arrow).

Are you going to get one Matt? Which one would you get? I like both but will probably go for titanium

I looked at buying online, but it would be my luck that the thing would come with a dent or scratch or something, and then I'd wish I just bought locally. Then it's their problem.

Go for it JB......the Ti looks sweet, you'd want to save 30% or more to warrant getting it from Italy

That's the plan Randall. My buyer couldn't get up here to pick the bike up this weekend. Hopefully next weekend. Then I can order the can. Don't want to jinx the sale by ordering beforehand.

I will get one eventually, will get the aluminum or titanium, I reakon pipes need to be shiny!
The aluminum one is quite a bit cheaper than the titanium.

Re: Arrow exhaust in oz

Went back and read through this thread. 11 months ago I still had my K1200R in the shed along with the new red K1300R.

11 months later, the 12R is gone (sold), red 13R was written off and the Arrow is now on the black 13R.

So much can happen in 11 months.

Only 8 months to the next instalment of iBMW Australian rally.
