Help identifying part

I stripped all the fairing parts off my 2015 K1300s for maintenance and just to get a look at what will be involved in valve adjustment. I found a aftermarket part I could not identify mounted above the water pump. There is no MFG's name on it and it is no longer hooked up except for the switched power leads. It is a small plastic sealed module app 2" X 1.5" X 1/4" deep. It has a inline 3 amp fuse and 7 color coded wires all in a plastic wire sleeve. It has the following numbers on it:

PT # XT4550V21100040T
ME ID#A1000043898548
it has a FCC ID # as well & a serial #

The wire colors in the plastic sleeve are:
red, yellow, white, green, orange, brown, blue

I am going to remove it since it is no longer hooked up but curious what it is??

Re: Help identifying part

Maybe a ballast for headlight or a control unit for additional lights or flashers?

Re: Help identifying part

Checking the part number on the net it looks like a part for satellite tracking. Anti theft measure perhaps

I tend to agree w/Capt'n.

If memory serves me, an ME ID is typically associated with a Cellular Radio:
ME ID#A1000043898548

Re: Help identifying part

Thanks guys I am removing it since it serves no useful purpose. I use my spot for tracking so I have no use for this thing.
