Bose speakers

Does anybody know if Bose makes helmet speakers???
I have the basic cardo set up, although they sound decent, a set of Bose would really put the sound over the top. I do not talk while riding! just music on long slab trips and GPS.
Thinking of getting something nicer for the trip to Glacier.

Re: Bose speakers

You can get some great custom earbuds if you're willing to spend a little money. I got a pair made for me at one of the IMS shows a few years ago by a company named, Fit-Ear & they're still going strong. Very high quality & for me & since I'm into music, well worth what I paid for them.

Another option to consider.

Re: Bose speakers

Nice thing about getting custom earbuds is they can be repaired, I have had the same set for over 15 years replaced cords and or speaker 2-3 times for less than 100 bucks each repair, the sound keeps getting better each time I get them back, or so it seems

Re: Bose speakers

Definatley something else to consider, but really like the helmet spaeakers, I have used the ear buds, But not custom made, just the apple ones, didnít really care for them. Really like the helmet speakers, wires all tucked away and nothing dangling around, just turn the Bluetooth on and Im ready to go. Thanks for the suggestion. Canít believe Bose dont make a pair

Re: Bose speakers

I am awaiting receipt of my Fit-Ear moulded speaker buds. I intend to use a Sena or similar unit to use them in a Blue Tooth mode. I like the idea of quelling noise, which is why I always wear ear plugs, and have the ability to listen to music or books while riding.

Re: Bose speakers

My personal take on ear plugs is I wear them on longer trips. I don't listen to music on the HD and I am very happy with stock sound on the 16 1200RT. The last thing I want to do is cover ambient noise with in or on ear music. I want to hear my surroundings for my safety.

Re: Bose speakers

I know there are many opinions on this subject, but for me, the helmet speakers donít really mufel the surrounding noise that much, and I usually only use with music on when Iím on a long trip on the slab, not much noise to be aware of at those times.

I used to use a set that fit well into my ear canals to block outside sound. And they worked fairly well at that, but...

...1. The helmet pressed on them and forced them into my ears at times. This was uncomfortable.
2. The biggest problem - wires. As I put the helmet on, I frequently pulled one of the earbuds out when the helmet pulled on the wire. Very frustrating to have to remove the helmet, reinsert the ear bud and try again.

Re: Bose speakers

If you can find a noise cancelling ear bud that will fit under your helmet you will love them.
I use these
