Another K 13 R Rare Beast Spotted.

Had mine for nearly 3 years now, racked up 30,000k's. In that time I have only seen ONE other K 13 R on the road ! And it was on the very day I picked mine up from BMW and in my town. Nothing sighted since. Until today. We were pulling into Meredith Vic & 3 bikes were headed towards Melbourne.

2 x Moto Guzzi's & the lone K1300R. That makes 2 in 3 years. I feel REALLY REALLY exclusive now !

I agree they are quite rare. Mine is a 2014 which I bought new, now with 115,000km on the clock. I've tried other bikes but, so far, nothing is quite like a K1300r. I am retired and ride most days in the countryside around Melbourne. The K13 continues to delight. Cheers!

My sunburst yellow 2006 K1200R is a rarity in any color now in So California. The slant-4 K is BMW's greatest 2 wheeled achievement IMO. They can make bikes more powerful and faster, but nothing has the 'RIDE' of a K.
Ride safe, happy and long!

Re: Another K 13 R Rare Beast Spotted.

The R is indeed a rare bike but ive seen a couple from time to time. It seems most people preferred the K13S with fairing over the naked R. I liked the R but could never get past the headlight plus I like the added protection fairing offers. I did see a R in Seoul S. Korea back in 2010 or 11.
