I knew Ducati had first it but thought Continental just released theirs. I need to read slower.

Not 100% certain, but I think it was first tested and released on a KTM

Could be but I thought it was Ducati. They introduced it in 2015. KTM seems to be a 2017 intro.

Amazing stuff no matter who did it first.

My XR was manufactured in May 2015. Guess I don't have that. Oh, the shame of it all. But, I do have the kick-ass Clearwater lighting system, and that should help mitigate the impending doom somewhat.

Re: S1000XR first to use continental optimized braking curve ABS

Oh man... those Ericas are really bright! Here's a shot of testing in my garage right after I got them installed:

This is with the motor running and the high beams on. The highs on the XR are pretty bright, but the Ericas are brighter. Last summer I rode home from the NASCAR races at the Evergreen Raceway in Monroe. It was late and Hwy 203 was pretty empty, so I turned on the high beams. WOW!
