How to connect a F800-headlight to a K1300R?

Hi guys,

I'm searching for a way to connect a headlight unit for a 2011-2014 BMW F800GS to my 2011 BMW K1300R.

This thread is not about the dimensions of the headlight unit, but about the electrical connections.

My 2011 K1300R had two wires going into the headlight unit:

To the left is the small (2 point) plug that feeds the small parking light bulb.
To the left is the big (8 point) plug that feeds dipped beam and main beam.

A 2011-2014 F800GS has a comparable headlight unit (width is identical, depth and so on are slightly different) with only one plug:

The plug is identical to the big plug on my K1300R-headlight unit, but 1 of the 4 metal pins inside is differently positioned.

--> How can I connect a F800GS headlight unit to bike, without cutting the harness?

I think I could make an adapter, so I'd need 3 plus:
- going into the adapter: 'negative plugs' for the connectors on the wiring loom
- going out of the adapter: same connector as the big one on the wiring loom

I've found 2 of those at BMW:

--> number 9 is identical to the small socket on my headlight unit, so that's 1 of the 2 'negatives' on the in-side of the adapter

http://www.i-bmw.com/attachment.php?...1&d=1525127704
--> number 2 is identical to the big connector on my wiring loom, so that's the one on the 'out-side' of the adapter

Now I need a negative of that last one. Where should I look to find it? Can someone help?

If you guys have better ideas: I'm all ears!!

Thanks a lot,
Gilles (Belgium)
