"Always, Always Say Yes" - Stan Dibben

"I was never frightened of speed. Courage.. it never came into the picture really... it was something that we just did" "The fear factor never comes into it"
"Always, always say 'Yes' "
Stan Dibben

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/03/op...?nl=toda&_r=2&
"This Op-Doc tells the story of Stan Dibben, a fascinating British man who won the World Sidecar Championship in 1953. Sidecar racing is an extremely dangerous, three-wheeled motor sport that was particularly popular in postwar Europe. Now, at age 87, Mr. Dibben recounts the thrills and perils of his profession, and we see that he is so much more than a mere “passenger.”

Thanks for posting this. So just maybe when I get older I will remember to just say yes just like Stan.

Re: "Always, Always Say Yes" - Stan Dibben

That was cool! Incredibly uplifting.

And as a single guy... I wish some ladies would have the same attitude (though only regarding my advances). Until then... It's just the rag and bottle which was left in my room at a thcr by someone, I'm not quite sure but Justjoe was the last one I remember seeing...

Re: "Always, Always Say Yes" - Stan Dibben

Great story Pat. A good lesson: when presented with an opportunity always say yes. Its like a friend of mine said about traveling, he never regretted going on an adventure no matter how tough it got. What he did regret was turning down offers to travel. Same can be said for a lot of things...like motorbike trips.
