This set up really shows off the rear wheel, it is a little loud though

That bike looks great. Love the silver/yelller. Keep after the rear wheel, it'll get a lot of rock pits in it if you aren't attentive. Ask me how I know...

Re: Show off your exhaust!

Here is mine. It's for sale now and looks exactly the same as on the photo. I sold the bike and kept all the aftermarket accessories so I have other goods for people interested. The Laser is a full system with Works headers Dutch built specifically for the Hotcam version. The bags have to go too.

Cheers

Yeah, Dez; you me and Locus with the granite gray! The Remus does go well with our color!

Your two photos (and a number of the others made me do something just about an hour ago) .

Went out and gave the bike a good scubbing! Nice and shiney, now! <g>

Oh, and yes, the bike did seem to pick-up some extra power after several thousand milses on the odo. You can tell on those full throttle 1st gear launches!

Indeed Miles! These engines love the cooler (dense) winter air too - bike runs great when the temps are around 40-50degF. Best solution for Cabin fever I've ever found - cold air in your face on a K12 on the boil!

So can we post sound files? I'd love to hear the exhausts in this thread too.

That would be the next step and fun to listen to the exhausts. Randy, Rick, Vic, Kjell probably know the complete tech answer to your question.

But, I've seen links to You Tube vids where you can hear a Remus Ti or other aftermarket exhausts.

The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money. - Margaret Thatcher

You only need two tools in life -WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the Duct Tape

REMUS Full Ti System

3803 Cannister 60mm inlet 60mm outlet (single Dyno Chart)

Original Ti Cannister was longer with 60mm inlet and 40mm oulet (Green Line on Dyno Chart, the Blue Line was before installation of the Dynojet USBIII PC)

The new version 3803 Ti Cannister increase rwhp when combined with fuel management system.

2006 K1200S using Evoluzione Race Intake Filters, USBIII PC and REMUS Full Ti with 3803 has resulted in 163 rear wheel horsepower and 89 ft lbs torque with very smooth air/fuel management (mapped in Las Vegas at the Dyno Jet Research Center by Dusty)

hey "moons" mine is road hard but never put away wet...ask "vegasdude"...he knows...

Re: Show off your exhaust!

Wow, everyones bike looks so nice! Don't know if my old '05 will even come close to looking as good... I'm getting the fever for a NEW K12S!
However, back in '05 my bike was one of a kind! With a
REMUS Full Ti System and a Custom Black Paint job... However, if I myself had to pay for the full Remus system, I would’ve just went with a slip on Remus. However, I got lucky as it came with the bike.

With Bags...

My buddies bike with a slip-on Remus. Also note, he removed the Remus emblem which others said it couldn’t be removed…
Yep, he's got one PRETTY bike to ride!

Pete,
Glad you like that exhaust. That was from my '05 K12S. It was a full Ti system however with the exhaust covered in carbon not a slip on.

So can we post sound files? I'd love to hear the exhausts in this thread too.

The Hex looks great on the KS too. Now why didn't BMW simply use it instead of that damn Bazooka that comes stock?

This COOL dude from Wyoming thought it would look better on my bike than his. Ya know, he was right!

Thanks again, I love it but I'm not so sure how my neighbors feel.

Where's yours?

Re: Show off your exhaust!

I put the Two Bros VALE slip-on on my K1200R. It's obscenely loud, not safe for my hearing, even with custom made earplugs. I ordered the power-tip noise suppressor, if that doesn't reduce the noise substantially, I'll have to sell it and go back to my stock exhaust.

Anybody have similar experience?

Leo

Re: Show off your exhaust!

Last two days it's been hovering around 0C just north of Toronto. Hmmm...heated grips (highest setting set) it's off for a 45 minute ride. Lots of sand/grit on the roads, so extra care needed. Engine is too new to stress (<100K). Still a beauty of a day to freeze my @$$ off, and put a HUGE smile on my pasty winter face!

This was shot before leaving this afternoon...no romantic backdrop, or wish-I-was-there scenery!

Beauty and the Beast.

First the stock beast, then the aftermarket beauty.

I'm sure the Remus is better then stock, but I prefer the look of the stock can. The only after market exhaust that even looked okay on the K1200S (IMHO) was the Akrapovic can. I also think that one had a Cat in it as well. If the can doesn't have a cat I won't buy it.

I have an Akrapovic, in addition to my new Remus Hexacone. The Akrapovic does not have a cat in it, and I seriously doubt if any aftermarket can does.
