Time to Accessorize!

those pics are great randall,

i have already started on accessories, oil cooler guard came from
Motohansa in Sydney... link below, give them a call, i walked in the door and they had it in stock.
http://www.motohansa.com.au/
or Procycles online.... the are stocking wunderlich now
http://procycles.com.au/bmw_mr_accessories.php

as for that lower fairing..... so far, a worldwide search on ebay produces these 2.
the american one looks good, i will paint mine red when i get one. $341 is a great price, not sure on postage. also found the direct site, but all belly pans are listed as K1200r.. hmmm.... are they the same.. link below also
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BMW-K1200R-K1300R-Carbon-Fiber-Belly-Pan-Plain-Weave-/110965857465?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19d61 49cb9
http://www.bestemusa.com/K1200R_c_30.html

the polish one is cheaper, not sure on the quality of the finish...
also... find out wether it takes a centre stand if your planning on fitting one,
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BMW-K1200...item1c2f0d6277

only other thing im thinkn about is a headlight protector.... you can get these from Motohansa as well
not sure i like the velcro discs for attaching......
http://amhp.com.au/amhpshop/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=692&osCsid=c5115b6d155 7af3070a7a0ad515a260d

Re: Its here, its here........

First thing I fitted a genuine centre stand, best thing ever, genuine sports panniers, also threw on a Remus Hexacone muffler, better sound, no obvious performance increase but she definitely runs cooler and doesn't stink now, lol I've also fitted Helibar Risers, Grip Buddies and Throttlemeister (check out Jerry the Pirate for them www.pirateslair.net), R&G case protectors (Ebay or Pirate), front sliders (Ebay) and a locally made custom sheepskin seat cover (NT Sheepskins) much better on the arse! Wunderlich oil cooler guard from Procycles, still hesitating over the belly pan, I've been informed that I've already spent too much Other little farkles like BMW number plate bolts, rear wheel hub cover, reflective K1300R wheel labels.

Enjoy the kr it's an awesome bike! And to answer your question yes, the k12r belly pan fits the k-13r. I have a boxer cup CF belly pan on my k13r.

That "something else",..what would you look at that could compare, Randall?

Have done 30.000 on my K12 now, 10 of those for this years rally, which, every day, the bike never ceased to amaze me. Really like my K12, with its idiosyncrasies.

Just an idea Mogsy, but if you bought say a K1200R and left it parked at my place, you could fly over, pick up the bike, go to Moto GP, iBMW rally etc and then park and fly back home. The cost savings would be huge. I would obviously keep the battery charged up for you and maintain your chicken strips.

Something to think about. Let me know and I'll start looking for a suitable bike.

Ha, only have one thing to say,…not going too happen.

Love the look of the MT10, loads of very nice Accessories from Yamaha too, comfort seat and heated grips look great!

Don't think this is a very good idea,…Jen's plenty fast enough on the VFR.

Just say'n.

Mate, I got a call from Izzy at Suspension R US - he is fixing the the VFR for her.....cant believe how fast it did go as the front is completely stuffed & binding up... wait til it handles
She is getting correct weight springs, a Wilburs rear shock & a front repair & revalve

Hey Randall, is this the original mob that did the first suspension mods? or did they screw it up?
Just curious as too why the forks are now binding.

Re: Its here, its here........

It was a combination of things....pretty crappy forks to start with (check any new VFR in a shop) and the dealer over tightened the axle so the forks where not parallel.
Ridden like that for 10000km probably stuffed it.
First repairer didn't replace springs as asked, but did improve things a bit with the compression conversion...& told us about the over tightened axle.
New guy has had it apart & says the springs have been cut, bushes are damaged & springs are binding at top of stroke.
Rear shock is very basic so less work to put in a new custom built unit (Wilburs) to suit Jen.
Its a nice bike so worth getting it right
2nd guy gets quite a bit of work fixing first guys shit😂

Beautiful bike man, I wish they sold the K1300R in the US. But no, sadly. Enjoy it on the roads and with an aftermarket exhaust slip on too

Just need to keep an eye out for anything that pops up with low KMs

Get the Motorsport and keep the R for visitors.

Seriously though, could you see yourself with the S1000r as well?

Re: Its here, its here........

If money and space in the shed were available I would have a K1300S and S1000R
Trying to balance this out. ...get a new K13 then get a S1000r in a couple of years....touring & trips on the K short squirts on the S
Or spend some cash on the K13R I have, to freshen it up, then see whats out in another couple of years
I just don't want to be without a K bike
If the K1300R becomes too hard to sell, I can have it here for suitably qualified visitors

Its only money after all. ............

Go the motorsport, worth it for the wheels alone, + adjustable rear-sets.

Have you ridden one with forged wheels?
Are they really worth it?? Only a couple of kilos lighter for BOTH wheels, cant see that making a $4000 difference - but I don't want a black one so its the only choice
Rear sets do look cool

Cheers mate.
Might be time for that now, retired 3 weeks ago. Only problem is all new bikes will now come from the wreckers instead of a shop.

No, & probably not. BUT....the lighter the unsprung weight = better handling.

Besides, in a pissing comp, forged rims, trumps factory, every time...and...it's not my money I'm trying too spend.

Not only but also, Motorsport & S10R in the shed, rather like a pigeon pair.
