Talking Silver & Black

Howdy all,

Collected the brand spanking new K1300R today.

The Bandit 1250SA was the trade-in. So out with the silver and in with the black.

The grin on the way home was huge.
Tomorrow will be a great riding day!

Congratulations on the new bike. I fixed the pictures for you.

After you have your pictures in the gallery - all you have to do is click on the thumbnail you want - then right click and copy it.

Go to your post - put your cursor where you want the picture - then above the dialogue box you see the yellow square with the mountain in it - click on that - it opens up another address box - paste the picture in there.

The image address will be where you put the cursor - submit post - picture will be opened in your post.

Re: Silver & Black

rs530 - Congrats on your new KS. Hope you are loving it as much as I am loving the KR.

Went for the first real ride yesterday.
Campbell Town to the east coast via Lake Leake. Then through Bicheno and up the coast to St Marys Pass (a bit like Macquarie Pass for the Sydneysiders amoungst us). Great 2nd-3rd gear corners heading up the range for about 5 kms.
A quick break at St. Marys then back to Launceston.
All up, about 350kms.

Sorry, only two photos. Every time I thought of photos I was having too much fun riding.
I will need to put a cam on the bike and take stills off that....

Brucev - thanks for the info on the photos.

Greyfox, when you make it down here, let me know if you want some company on the rides.

Re: Silver & Black

Bike will go in for it's first oil change this week.
I always like to get an oil change in early to get any crud or glitter out of the oil after the first run.

Hi David, welcome and congratulations on your new bike

If you like to do it, you have info about oil change here, in this thread: http://www.i-bmw.com/showthread.php?t=53144

Re: Silver & Black

Hi Bernardo,

Thanks for the link on the oil change.
I am letting the dealer do the first one. I will do oil changes mid-service myself, just need to pick up an oil vacuum for the oil tank.

Hey Dave, nice bike, congratulations.

Using a piece of 9mm tubing, you can siphon the oil out of the tank, just takes a bit of time.
