Re: Blow Me

Karl

I used the MRA Vario screen which was an improvement over the OEM screen. The high position was unnecessary for me as I'm only 5' 10" and I believe you're 6' plus.

Re: Blow Me

On KRS, z-Technic sport screen
On K13S, OEM
On GSAW, OEM, not as good. Looking to replace with z-Technic

6'2"

Z-Technic makes a lot of claims on airflow with their V-stream technology, but no doubt, they are very reasonably priced compared to other offerings.

Duh... I don't think some of these answers address Karl's question regarding his new S1000XR...

Sure...with a drill and a heat gun!

I guess my point wasn't clear. With arguably the same ergos between the two bikes, going tall and wider in my case didn't work...going short did. That may also be the answer on the X-ray as well.Looks like going short was your answer too!

Re: Blow Me (windscreens)

Me, I just presumed seat height was one of the points of interest,
and where the blast was hitting you...therefore these heights in the various bikes, two of which I know he rode...

Going short, I agree, much rather have the air in my chest, with face shield
in clean air, then to try and get it over my head...

I am 1m74 and i got that "clip on" height and angle adjustable windscreen off e-bay.
It makes a world of a difference, even on the lowest height.
Without it i felt the wind pressure on my chest and helmet in a not so pleasant way.
Since i put the clip on all that wind goes above my helmet.
My ridiculously small body weight(60kg) does not help either holding on...hehehe
