New K1300R - It's ready!!!

Spent a bunch of time over xmas cleaning / "sorting" the K13R. It's now looking great, fully R&G'd, Rizoma mirrors fitted, minging stained screen cleaned and SC Project carbon exhaust mounted. Sounds fab.
Will take some pics and try to load 'em up. Now just need the salt to clear

if you can post a few close up pictures of the rear hugger , that should give it away.

That hugger would be from Skidmarx. I have one as well, and painted Lava Orange, it looks phenominal!

The windscreen is a Laminair Lip, same as me and Trevor have. They work very well, cutting that jacket bashing wind between $1.20 and $2.00+.
It comes with big Velcro sticky circles, but these will not hold, you have to drill the windscreen and buy some windscreen/fairing screws bolts to secure it properly. It also leave a very small gap between it and the original windscreen which stops it making a "pressurized " area behind the windscreen.
And I reckon it looks good too.

I cant see your pic - getting message to update my account to enable 3rd party hosting. Any ideas?

Yep. If you're using chrome, go to the Chrome Web Store, search and download (for free) the "Photobucket Hotlink Fix" Extension (offered by Bridgetroll.io). I think Firefox have same/something similar. And voilà what was once unseen, is now seen

NFI, sorry. I'm a bit limited with this stuff. I'm guessing perhaps check your settings to see if you can add extensions? Otherwise, wait a bit and hopefully someone will pipe up with an answer for you.

I fixed mine with the supplied sticky Velcro but it is not very sturdy. Has been like this for one season but one of the 4 Velcro is loose. I know I will eventually lose the part on the highway if I don't do anything.
I purchased a set of windscreen screws last fall but have not got around to install them. Will be done before the start of the new season.
Installing the screws requires drilling through to original windshield which I don't mind.

Cool, i ended up drilling through the middle of the 4 velcros and put the bolts in the middle of the velcro tabs, because my windshield bolts were to long for the screens to be flush. Tested to $2.60... didnt fly off...

Re: New K1300R - It's ready!!!

Here is another picture from last fall with the newly installed AC Schnitzer pillion cover.
The paint is not exactly what it should be as my paint shop could not figure out the proper paint code and scanned it instead.
Would any of you have the proper paint code for the Acid Green that can be used by most paint shop other than BMW...

Looked to fit my oil cooler guard last week, but was worried about snapping things!! Could any of you advise me regarding loosening off the top left hand fairing, to enable me to access the oil cooler bolt hidden by this? I undid the fairing bolt at the top (next to the tank) and the bolt which holds the indicator on. The fairing piece looks like it is also attached / supported inside to a small (3/4 inch) pole, over which fits a rubber? grommet. To be free of this, it looks like the top fairing needs to slide forward (about and inch), but I was struggling to do this. Is anything else needing to be undone before I start pulling things apart?
(Apols if this sounds a bit lame, as I'm sure this should be quite easy!! - in my defence I only have one fully fit arm - left arm has brachial plexus injury following a head on crash in 2009).
Many thanks for any assistance.
Cheers,

Andrew.

Ps - planning on second attempt tomorrow / weekend
