Good Grief! It looks like if you could ever get "over the hump" your body would enjoy it! Get healed, rest, be good by July, get those screws out of there and Presto! Ready for a normal life again at the end of September.

All the best.

Re: Current status

I know that they mean well.

But getting through all that crap is just the sh!ts...

Hang in there bud, ideally sooner but likely later, things will come around.

A year later and I'm slowly getting there... still lotsa ground to cover though...

All the best,

Re: Current status

Understandable... I'd be in the dumps also...

What kind of work do you do?

Can you realistically go to work in such a lamentable state?

Are you still on painkillers?

Can their decision be appealed?

Hang in there...

Man, you don't have it easy!

I feel for you. Is there anything we could do to help?

I thought that this situation would turn around but it seems like it's stalled.

Hang in there, it will take a turn for the better.

Cheers

Sorry to hear and hope the healing turns around for you soon. That leg is really smashed.

I don't understand why you don't have healthcare though, I thought it was tax funded there
and everyone has it?

Thanks to you guys....heart warms by small Word.

well the taxes are at its end,,,we are currently loaning approx 75 billion alone just this year to fund the horrific immigration,,,the leftinsane people and the politics trie their best to cover the hole mess up.......we are simply running the country to its grave and still there are people screamin about taking in immigrants. increasing homeless people and todays news on how government people gets a bonus if they kick out people from the health care system. sweden is a regim of madness and people who oppose gets threatned. 1,5 million immigrants since 2000 and no integration then you get today: second highest rapecountry in the World,,,killings every week and soon total collapse i kid you not. we have now 60 no go zones that the police dont even go in............thats a small sums it up.

Re: Current status

Well

update again,,,,healing has sorry to say stopped almost completely...doctors are worried both in sweden and germany. The common saying is to much metal and screws and so on...also that it has to much flex. X ray the 30 mars and staff meeting around the issue on taking out all of the metal sad to say also a high complication risk level in doing so and this year is basicly fucked. the surgery is also not agreed : the OP team in germany want to do it their way and sweden doesnt agree...and next issue is: the cost..flight and so on.

My mental status is not so good either.

My God Brag...just caught this thread for the first time. I can only imagine the stress you're going through with the accident, the pain and the loss of your dad too.

I can only say that I'll say a little prayer for you. I hope you can keep your chin and spirits up. You're a strong man to have dealt with this so far. It'll get better! Good luck!

Like Loggie said, things will turn around one of them days.

Gotta look up!

I've relapsed a bit but a) it's nothing compared to you and
b) I won't highjack your thread.

Best of turn around luck!

Re: Current status

Braggerman, hang tough. You aren't the doctor so you can't do much on that side, but you can continue to be the toughest and best patient possible. I recently had some surgery and the drugs I must continue to take for a while, make me lethargic. I think of people who are much worse off than I (that would be you, from where I sit) and tell myself to "suck it up." That helps me soldier through.

Your deal is much tougher and you have been dealing with it for a long time. Unfortunately, the only option from your side is to do the same. Patients who remain optimistic regardless of the circumstances, statistically recover more quickly and completely than those who are not. So . . . even if you don't feel like it, you must play the "mind game" in a way that helps your healing.

May God bless and comfort you in this time of woe.

Tyson

Hi Braggerman,

Government... can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. Now all you have is fighting the takers on all fronts of your life. All you have worked for is being slowly reduced in return value. To make it unbelievably worse is two medical groups fighting over your healthcare, is that healthy for the patient?

It is the fight from within that determines our core strength. The drugs will numb you to your just cause. The handicap to your recuperation will drain you of your ability to physically grow stronger. The possibility of a waning strong company is a crushing blow on a whole different front for any of us.

Probably the best medicine would be a mind clearing bike ride on a clear sunny Sunday morning, and even that is an issue.

When the storm of the century clears... that is this week as the weather gods are calling it, I will take a ride and ask for better soul curing winds to be at your back.

Take care and keep your faith.

Well...Zato my friend, started the Engine and put my hands on the Engine...warm and vibrations from 1300 cc through my fingers.

so an open norwegian alproad would be like the hand from god in my mind.

thanks again for your thoughts.

Re: Current status

X-Ray done and as follows, slow healing as assumed...prognosis is estimated at 10 months more Before taking out the screws in the front of the leg and that is planned as stage 1 after that healing for 6-8 months.

Stage 2 rest of the metal removed hopefully in the end 2018 and efter that if it goes well 6 months more minimumto gain total strength.

Motion for a ultrasound machine to be used for 250 times, custom made and approx 7000 dollars. about 45 mins to get in on/off the leg and switched on for 1 hour at the time.
Delivered in may.

Update 2017-05-22

To hell with all of agony, pain and fuck my sorrows. Got a plastic protection around my hole leg waitin for the ultrasoundmachine (not here yet).

Made a descision despite all who said you are the craziest of people are you completely insane.

Put the gear on,,,,,,,,,,,,got my boots in with the protection,,,,hardly leaping forward.....swinged my leg over the saddle.........started the Engine.

Gear in 1 pushed the throttle and away....all the pain and effort sweatin like a pig i did a run for 50 km......

The smile inside the helmet and even the Flashbacks of horror flyin by i was on the bike again.

from me to you ...big fuckin hug.

Wow I haven't seen this thread in a long time. I can't imagine what you have gone through and continue to have to deal with?

I really hope your situation starts getting dramatically better right away.

I think you must be one strong minded person to be doing as well as you have mentally during this time.

Remember since we are all motorcyclist here - an old racer once told me - no matter what never give up - keep fighting do everything you can to stay on the bike - never lay it down - fight fight and fight some more to keep it upright.

Ted - same goes for you - never never ever give up - keep fighting - you will come back from this - and remember you have so many friends here - when you need us - just check in - never can tell what one of your riding brothers/sisters may be able to say or do for you.

Hello everyone....

Hospital today for 5 hours and x ray 2 times and magnet done....head doctor for ortopedia and dialog with germany.

Verdict:

Leg isnt healin anymore or to say at so low speed that well,,,it wont heal in the way it should. The foot has rotated 15 degrees in the wrong angle also.

To much metal and screw interfearence, got a bacteria infection near some of the screws aswell, so... surgery will be done again to take Everything out and replacement will a bonescrew inside the bone. less screws but still the same to open up my leg.

One more year to go, what to say...Words lost.

Update 2017-05-24

One day after my crasch a year ago 23 of may germany i got called in for surgery once more (odds of that) , running around the hospital taking samples , rematoligist, x ray for the 200 times over, cat scan, so on,,,,

they removed everything and cleaned the bone, 5 hour total. Two operators with total workskill of 65 years and the rest of the team of at least 5 crewmembers. Very Little bone left
and mostly a new big rod in with a bunch of new screws alltogether. Great deal of pain at the moment and sad that they have have missed since my childhood that i have a gluten/lactose
problem in/out of hospital since age 5...several bone fractures the last 15 years the stated i have skeleton like a 85 year old......thank you for that and or for not listening to me from the
beginning. Osteoporoses for so many years and no one even didnt say a bell. day after 25 th,,,injection for 30 minutes with Zoledronacid , well feels like im in hell, like the flew in the
body and the stomach is like shit. they sent me home the day after the surgery.....should have been there a week (but hey it isnt germany).

Re: Current status

Saying a prayer for you Ted and sharing this verse from the Book of Ephesians in the New Testament. Surrender what's left of your life into the hands of the Eternal God and stand firm in spite of every discouragement.

Ephesians 6:12-18 (English Standard Version)

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

Re: Current status

Braggerman,

R111S has good advice. I am sure that you are tired of hearing any of us say: "Hang in there." Nonetheless, perseverance in this situation IS your strength, even though it requires mental and physical strength to prevail.

I am unhappy that you seem to be suffering more than necessary because of the way medical services are delivered or obtained in your country, but if there is little that can be done, then to heck with it . . . persevere! Show the basta*ds, with God's help.

Tyson
