Re: It was nice knowing you

Thanks for the tip Eric.

Just ventured outside with a torch and tried your trick and guess what !

Nope, made no difference.

Thanks to all for help. I do already have a brilliant BMW tech who has worked on the London Met Police's BMWs and fettled Yamahas for a TT winner. For any Brits on here, he is:-

But I don't see why I should incur more expense when the bike is under warranty.

I strongly suspect that whoever fitted the 'hot start' wiring kit at Bowker forgot to tighten up some crucial electrical fastener. Or maybe the relay decided to let go at the same time.

We'll see what Bowker come up with as a solution.

Re: It was nice knowing you

Best of luck I am sure a competent BMW mechanic can find and fix the problem. Keep us informed.

Re: It was nice knowing you

Little consolation I know but I relate to the clutch judder the BM shop who sorted it needed two attempts and sadly I have no idea exactly what they did but sort it they have must fixed 7/8 years ago and itís as good as any other.

Re your electrical again no consolation but know how you feel the very reason I choose the K to go too the Aragon GP recently was because iíd Lost all faith in it and needed to get back on track or it was going in the skip luckily it redeemed itself.

Although I am currently up my neck in mud and alligators with an aftermarket product iíve Bought for the bike with no resolution currently but I cannot blame BM for that.
