Night Ride through Perth WA

Did this night ride with a few mates through our beautiful city . Perth WA.

I would encourage all riders to do the same in their own city at night as it puts a different perspective on where you live.

Matt you should do a Sydney Night ride as this would be amazing.

Turn on subtitles for commentary and change to HD.

Yeah, its pretty special, isn't it, Oily? I tend to knock off work at dusk so get to night ride regularly. We're so lucky with our balmy nights and the long, endless twilight this time of the year.

Re: Night Ride through Perth WA

Sweet video. Tall, lighted buildings, big water, trees, sculptures and bikes - great combo.
Getting to see other cities around the world where people ride is a great way to be enticed to cross the pond, rent a bike, and explore.
Appreciate the carrot you threw out.
Got a pic of the Bell tower in daylight? (I think that's what you called it)
Thanks for sharing your part of the world with us.

Couldn't wait. Looked up more pics, but no time to read up on it. What is it? Why was it built? Gorgeous structure!

Good one Oily, nice evening cruise. Is that navigator the same one or bigger?
I should do an evening run into Sydney as you said, might actually drag out the old system 5 helmet and mount the GoPro on it for that.
I have that same jacket the guy on the white triumph has, is it leather?
Is that Pucara(Alex) on the green krakadarki.

Cheers

Re: Night Ride through Perth WA

Hey Muddy,

More info on the Bell Tower,

Commemorating Australia's bicentenary in 1988, the twelve bells of St Martin-in-the-Fields as well as five specially cast bells were presented to the University of Western Australia, the City of Perth and to the people of Western Australia. The London diocese of the Church of England and the parish of St Martin-in-the-Fields gave authority for the project to proceed. The additional bells cast in 1988 include two from the cities of London and Westminster, who each gifted one bell to the project, and a total of three bells bestowed by a consortium of British and Australian mining companies. Completing the ring of eighteen bells, a sixth new bell was commissioned by the Western Australian Government to mark the second millennium.

The official website is here.. http://www.thebelltower.com.au/
