Re: clutch noise

I just found out this noise is normal, acrossed the web....
Fix is a barnett clutch plate assy
at http://www.ebay.com/itm/Barnett-Clut...b89da9&vxp=mtr

it does not bother me so ill leave it be...

i did though fix the sloppy shifter brng with roller bearings and a step sholder metric Allen screw - im proud for figuring out from years ago my 2009 k1200rs sloppy shifter......a way to make it right or perfect. BMW cheap plastic inserts and threaded screw...really...

If this noise has been there for a while, no problem
If new: see post #2

Re: clutch noise

I've had two 07 K1200GT's and they both make that noise from the clutch. The first one went 94K pretty much trouble free except for the stalling issue. The second is almost new and does not have the stalling issue
The clutch dragged badly on the second K, a switch from Royal Purple that the PO used to Chevron motor oil ended the drag but the noise persists. I keep a close watch of the debris on the magnetic drain plug, I even photograph the plug at each oil change so I can compare the amount of debris.
