2009 K1300S Transmission Output Shaft Seal Leak

I have a 2009 K1300S with 27,000 miles on it that appears to have a transmission output shaft seal leak (or it could be the gasket for the transmission cover that caps the output shaft and retains the seal). In any case, do any of you know what's involved to replace the seal (and presumably the gasket)? Does the engine/transmission have to be pulled from the frame or is it an in-frame repair? Can someone point me to a URL that provides the instructions (and hopefully images) for the job including torque values? Thanks.

There are two o-rings that seal the end plate along with a shaft seal and felt ring that seal around the output shaft. All of these are relatively straight forward to replace.

In order to get to the output shaft, place the bike on the center stand or on a lift, remove the rear wheel, disconnect the top strut from the final drive and pivot the final drive down to release the drive shaft. Use a ratchet strap to lift the swing arm and pull the drive shaft back about two inches to remove it from the output shaft of the transmission - this may take some ratchet strap adjustments to get it aligned properly for the drive shaft to slide back. Try not to pull the shaft back so far that the end with the splines falls down inside the swing arm. It's not a problem, just a pain to get it back out of there. Once the drive shaft is out of the way, you can remove the four bolts holding the output shaft cover plate and very gently and evenly remove it from the transmission. Once that's off you should be able to replace the seals and o-rings. Use blue lock tight on the bolts for re-assembly and the torques are listed in the maintenance DVD, which I can't get to right now. Also, use some molylube on the driveshaft splines (I used Honda Molylube for mine).

Thank you. That seems clear and I have the service manual DVD so I'll have a look at that later tonight to confirm the torque specifications.
