K1200S ABS removal - stop triangle light ?

Hi guys..

I got my K1200S with fail ABS system and after spending a mount researching for fix about it finally I remove my ABS system. Right now I'm having regular brakes and one final thing I want to do. Can someone told me how can I make triangle light on my dashboard off - I also have a brake failure light on but that's not concerning me anymore ..I red somewhere that a specific wire needs to be cut but I cannot find such wire with this color on mine.

Thanks in advance ..

P.S. My bike is K1200S 2005 English version - had only 1 owner from England.

Can i ask you, what exactly did you do to remove the ABS Unit?

Is the electrical box from the ABS still connected?

There is no wire that can be cut. I think you were looking at a K1200 up to 2004.

The red triangle and ABS fail are LED's soldered onto a circuit board. The signal that makes them flash is a computer generated impulse.

Re: K1200S ABS removal - stop triangle light ?

The 2005-2006 modell was available without ABS.

The wiring harness was different though.

Disabling the the ABS with software will not work, because the speed signal comes from the ABS.

My suggestion to you.... open the instrument cluster (display) and cover up the 2 LEDS that are flashing....

Re: K1200S ABS removal - stop triangle light ?

I am not 100% sure if there is 1 or 2 LED's for Triangle.

There is a yellow warning and
every other major warning is Red (temperature, ABS and Battery)

The display will still show the picture though....

Ok,..but in my case if I leave red triangle to be on continiuosly (donít want to open dashboard cause it leads to other condense troubles) I will not be able to see yellow triangle light right?

Re: K1200S ABS removal - stop triangle light ?

Actually there is a way how to solve this but I didn't figure it out yet...
Maybe Patrique can help if he invest some time to jerk with NcsExpert

See this:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/EMULATOR...-/262895740608

These guys are reprograming ABS electronic to stay at KS and give tacho signal and brake light signal without showing ABS error(and they mentioned it have to be electronic from your bike, not someone else electronic!!).
I also saw another emulator built from scratch. They built a circuit to count pulses from ABS sensor and send CAN msg with speed to tacho without ABS error msg. I suppose they coppied CAN msgs for ABS initialisation and so on to trick ECU to think ABS is still installed.

EDIT: YT clip with 2nd option.
