2005 K12S Horn

I have a 2005 K12S and am looking to replace the horn with enough DBs to awaken cagers from their trance. I talked to my tech at Hansen's BMW in Medford, Oregon and apparently all of the more powerful horns are too big to fit in the limited space available. Do any of you K bike fans know of a horn replacement that has some power and will fit?

Thanks

Re: 2005 K12S Horn

I have normal Fiamm high note / low note horns installed behind left and right fairings. OEM horn remains but disconnected. Simple relay wired in place. Cheap. Fits. Plenty loud. Plenty.

Re: 2005 K12S Horn

If you will do a search on the site you will find complete installation instructions for several high power horns previously posted. Good luck!

Re: 2005 K12S Horn

We've been selling the Denali Soundbomb for the K12/K13 series for quite a while.. http://pirateslair.net/Denalihorn.htm We sold the Stebel Nautilus before that which is also a good horn although the Soundbomb is a little louder..

PM me for install pics on that bike.. There are 2-3 spots you can fit them... I have one on my 2006 K1200S..

BTW.. you'll quickly learn that dealers or their mechanics are generally the last place you want to seek aftermarket product install advice.. The concept is generally JuJu to them..

Get the Denali from Pirate. Here's a link about it.
