Stupid question. What does "Sticky" refer too?

Hey there; Yeah it's a silly term (we should coin it something more intuitive) - but it refers to a thread that's at the 'top' of any forum's main view & does not succumb to date sorting as do other threads - essentially 'stuck' @ the top for all to view.

An example; the 'Vendor' forum & a single 'sticky' thread summarizing's it's intent.
