Can I use 190/50/17 instead of 190/55/17

This may have been asked before but my search is not very clever.

Local Cycle gear has 190/50/17 Angel GT for front and rear. I am not sure if 50 vs 55 is right approach.

Thanks Bruce.

So if I read correct, I will have speedo on slightly faster side and may loose a mile or 2 per gallon and may have tiny increase in acceleration .

Is there any safety concern ?

The K1200S ran 190/50/17 from the factory so you should be fine. Turn-in response may suffer slightly.

Re: Can I use 190/50/17 instead of 190/55/17

I recently got a set from motorcycle superstore for $295 for the set (with free shipping). Just checked their site and it looks like the price went back up. I got lucky I guess . The amazon price looks good though.

I always swap 55 profile with 50 and vice versa. Depending on the domestic market.

No problem at all, my brain no detects differences...
