PR4 front with PR3 rear?

Recently added an R12RT to the stable. I have PR4 GT's on my KS and love them. The RT has an original PR3 on the front (13k mi...and not quite at wear bars), and the PO installed a new PR3 on the back more recently.

I'd like to transition to 4's but don't want to replace a relatively new rear PR3. Any problem with a new PR4 on the front while I wear down the PR3 on the back? Safe to assume I should stick with the nonGT version of the 4 to better match the rear?
