SPOILER - Sepang MotoGP

With the championship sewn up there is a bit less drama, but still a contest between Rossi and Lorenzo for "runner up" is on the table, although, I'm getting the sense that Lorenzo's heart isn't in it. Might be a wet weekend (where Lorenzo historically struggles,) and with new final corner configuration with a massively off camber corner designed to allow drainage, it could be an interesting weekend. Will Crutchlow maintain his winning form. Will Marquez be able to race? He sat out FP 2 with "Gastroenteritis" or a really bad case of the runs (it can truly be debilitating DAMHIKT ) times from both below:

Re: SPOILER - Sepang MotoGP

During the run up to the F1 race there a few weeks ago, the talk was all about that final 180 corner being redesigned with what is a pretty extreme off-camber shape. IIRC, it's something like 3+ feet higher at the apex than it is out at the edge of the track in that corner and there was a lot of "puzzling it out" by the drivers to stay on the track.

Did see the F1 drivers commenting and basically accommodating the new final corner during the race. Little bit more complicated I'd think on a race bike as cornering clearance will be the issue, but I suppose they'll figure it out.

Re: SPOILER - Sepang MotoGP

Wet race crash fest with Marquez, Crytchlow, and Ianone all falling, with each a chance of the podium, Rossi fighting for the lead, eventually giving the lead to Dovioso taking the race. Rossi takes the runner up spot in the title chase,

Yes, Rossi made the chase much more difficult with 3 DNF's. Yet I wonder if MM had not wrapped up the Championship when he did whether he would have been more cautious in the last 2 races?

Re: SPOILER - Sepang MotoGP

Marquez is just messing around, collecting data, trying new stuff. For sure if he was still chasing the championship he would not be so "adventurous". My take anyway.

It sure seems like there have been an awful lot of wet races this year.
