Dunlop sportmax III

Has anybody tried Dunlops new Sportmax Roadsmart III Tires, seems to be getting great reviews! I'm a huge fan of the Pirelli Angel GTs but I'm considering trying these out just to try something different, once theses Metzlers are shot.

Re: Dunlop sportmax III

A little early to tell, but 500 km on a set on my XR and I feel like I have a new favourite. Lots of grip right from the start and very "plush" feeling. Made in the Japanese factory, so no surprise that they needed almost no weight to balance out.

Re: Dunlop sportmax III

I had a flat on the rear and the local shop only had a Sportmax that fit. After a week I asked for my money back and was shuttled to the Dunlop rep. He looked at the tire and said that tire was not for that bike. Evidently the center tread is a little hard for the K1300S horsepower in first gear. I got 10% off a new Michelin.
Does the Sportmax work most of the time? Yes.
Will you hit the traction control every time you do a spirited start in first? Yes
If that's not a problem for you then they are great tires. Just don't try any drag race starts.

I would post a pic, but Priis looks like all the other Motorsport Editions out there.
