2005 K12S - ABS Runs Continuously

I have a 2005 K1200S. Just finished fixing"The Clutch" problem. Now I have "The ABS" problem. Or one of......
I turn the key on, wait for the bike to go through its start-up sequence.
Then, without starting the bike I pull on the front brake (or press the rear brake pedal).
The ABS pump starts......and then won't stop running (even though I let go of the lever/pedal) until I turn the key to the off position.
I have checked both micro-switches and can hear them clicking (they are working, or so it seems). I got the bike last year from MAX BMW with 32,000 miles on her. I just changed the levers (so I figured I had done something wrong there but like I say, the micro-switches click) so I think I have them installed correctly.
The clutch fluid is clean and yellow (just changed before MAX BMW sent me the bike).
I have ridden the bike for 12,000 miles once delivered, with no problems (until the clutch started to drag).
I checked the front ABS sensor that reads the front ring, it is set REALLY close to the ring and it looks like it has lightly come into contact with it, has a few small light scratches on its face. (I have put new tires on the front 2x already, once when I got the bike due to having bald tires and once at 44k miles).
I have been in contact with ModuleMasters and they are testing thier new rebuild kit for this year ABS but I am worried that I may have mucked something up when I did all that work on the clutch or when I changed the lever.
Any help would be appreciated, or if this has already been discussed please point me to that thread.
Thanks,

Had the same problem with my ABS blocke before i threw it out.
In my case one of four integral pressure sensors was gone bad, and there is no way to fix it.

Re: 2005 K12S - ABS Runs Continuously

Sounds like you have done a lot, just before the ABS failure, it's gong to be hard to determine which thing has caused this, and possibly none of the things you did are actually the cause

Maybe take it back to Max BMW and have them run diagnostics on the bike to see if they can pinpoint the cause ?

now one question, if you turn the ignition to on, let it run it's diagnostics, and you don't touch the brakes, and start the bike, and then you apply brakes, does the bike do the same and the pump just keeps on going ?

Re: 2005 K12S - ABS Runs Continuously

I have not tried not touching the brake then starting the bike. I have started the bike once the pump starts running continuously but due to the sound of the motor I can't tell if the pump stops or is still running.
I will try starting the bike, let it go through its start-up sequence, then start the bike, pull and release the brake lever, then listen to see if the pump run continuously.
If It does I am afraid I will burn out the pump or the battery or both.
Thanks for the tips.

Re: 2005 K12S - ABS Runs Continuously

Been riding the bike for the past 2 weeks with the bad ABS. Learning how to ride it without as much brakes, its working. Funny thing is at low speeds the bike still had pretty good stopping power but when I get going above 35 MPH or so it is a hard squeeze to get about 50% stopping power. Still waiting on Module Masters for the solution I guess. I like the RK Electronics solution but don't want to spend $1100 for it.

Definitely. My servo gave up in 2016 so I had the bike converted back to 'normal' brakes. Done nearly 10k miles now and the brakes have been superb. I wasn't bothered about losing the ABS, I rode bikes for 20 years without it anyway before I bought my K1200S.
