Grinding sound when taking off

Hi, just in last few days I noticed when I am taking of from a stopped position that I can hear a grinding sound for the short period and once the bike starts moving it goes away as if the drive shaft is slipping or something, but once the bike moves it goes away and I cannot notice anything wrong with the pickup speed and torque of the bike. Are there any simple checks to do to see if my drive shaft splines are not worn out or something else in the transmission or rear end is amiss? Only recall left to do on the bike is replacing the original aluminum rear flange with he stainless steel one, but hat should not cause this what I am experiencing, at least that is what I believe.

Re: Grinding sound when taking off

Probably the beginnings of dry/worn clutch plates. Has been quite a few upgrades since the K12S.
