Pilot Power RS vs Pirelli Rosso 3

I need to replace my pilot roads. No cross country trips planned this year so Iím not overly concerned with mileage. I asked the shop what they recommended for a street tire than could handle a track day and those were the 2 suggestions they offered. Any others come to mind? Any suggestions on the PPRS vs PR3?

Re: Pilot Power RS vs Pirelli Rosso 3

I use Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa’s on the K13S and like them very much. I do not ride this bike in the rain and have no clue how they’d perform.

Many of the guys on the site in Australia swear by the Pirelli Angels for both wet and dry riding.

Re: Pilot Power RS vs Pirelli Rosso 3

I don't personally have experience with the new RS but a few friends have them and have done track days with them and they held up pretty darn good.

I run Rosso 3's on my Yamaha and they do pretty good as well. I've also ran them in the rain and again they are pretty good up to a point -once you start really pushing them you can feel they are not liking it.

I don't think you will go wrong with either one.

Re: Pilot Power RS vs Pirelli Rosso 3

I have had a set of Rosso Corsa 3s and came away highly impressed. Grip and mileage both. Rode many miles in the rain on an Oz BMW rally and again was very impressed with the grip. Now permanent fitments to my K12r.

Thanks for all the feedback! I went with the Rossos. Now we just need it to stop snowing so I can try them out.
