Okay, it's already been established that I've run out of stuff to do today.

So I'll continue with the lawnmower theme.

The gasoline engine lawn mower, not self propelled, is mechanically intact and in good working order.

So after cutting a lawn you notice engine oil dripping out of the air filter.

The oil dip stick indicates a proper level.

So what caused this and how do you prevent it?

Nope.

Oil level is fine in this case.

And no smoke on start up.

What type of air Filter? Oil bath or dry paper?

Re: October'18 Puzzler

Have you ever tipped it over, maybe to check the blades. This could cause oil to run out of the crank case through the breather tube.

Close enough.

This can happen when cutting sideways on a steep hill with the oil side of the mower uphill.

To prevent, you need to cut with the oil side downhill or go up and down or at an angle.

Note that the grade has to be fairly steep and most lawns don't have this.

And wet.

Not great for getting outside, so, yes, I'm taking it out on my keyboard.

I did have several good short rides last week on the K12RS.

But now am dealing with withdrawal symptoms.
